The gumdrop sun rises high
in the cotton candy sky.
A woman stretches. She starts to run.
The city morning has begun!
This is beautiful picture book about a dad and his daughter heading off to school before the sun is up. It's a rhyming concept book - a long poem describing how the city wakes up one morning.
